The final conference of the MaMLiSE project ‘Majority and minority languages in the school environment: Helping teachers, pupils and parents’ was held on the 15th June, 2023 in the J. Lubrański Hall of the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań.
The conference attracted a wide audience of teachers, educators, school leaders, researchers and professionals interested in fostering multilingualism in school and home environments. Apart from participants from Poland, we were honoured by the presence of many international delegates, including those from Germany, Greece, Ireland, Slovakia, Spain, and Turkey.
In the plenary session the consortium presented the outputs developed in the MaMLiSE project to relevant stakeholders. The MaMLiSE project, realised at the Faculty of Modern Languages since 2020, is the first initiative in Poland comprehensively preparing teachers for working in linguistically diverse schools. Except for teachers, the outcomes of the project might also spupports parents and students. The intellectual outputs developed in the project include:
• an open-access book for teacher trainers,
• a series of workshops for teachers,
• an e-learning platform
• materials for parents,
• as well as a special issue of the journal ‘Glottodidactica’, published at the Institute of Applied Linguistics, dedicated to the project.
All project materials are freely accessible and can be found on the project website: http://mamlise.amu.edu.pl/
